One of harness racing’s highest honours is bestowed each March, on that year’s Honouree for the Gold Crown Carnival. In its short but illustrious history it’s become Bathurst’s version of the famous “baggy green”.

This year’s choice, the Fitzpatrick family from Camden – parents Paul and Lyn, and sons Gavin, Blake and Cameron – is a fine one, for which the Bathurst club can itself be congratulated.
